This 1-day Coping and Stress Workshop is designed to help participants identify "stressors" in their lives and help them design strategies to minimize or even totally eliminate them. Participants will be enabled to find new ways to deal with stress – this could mean a shift in attitude or a change of life style. We believe that while we may not be able to remove all the things that bring stress in our lives, we can gain the power to control how we react and engage with it.
Because of the differences in different people’s perspective and interpretation of similar stressful situations, our workshop will focus on helping individual participants identify the stress levels and coping mechanisms in their personal and professional lives. We’ll provide each participant with a Coping & Stress profile which will be a reflection of their preferences and approach to handling stress in their lives.
To enrich the experience of the participants, the workshop will be facilitated using Wiley's Coping & Stress developing framework. This will include a pre-work online assessment to determine your personal stress level and your personal coping mechanism and preferences. During the workshop, the facilitator will combine presentation, group/individual activities, and your personal report to create value for you. Our main focus in helping you handle stress (Personal and Work) will be on your coping resources.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
The workshop will be facilitated by Mike Strong, an Accredited Facilitator with Wiley (formerly Inscape), which pioneered the original DiSC learning instrument over three decades ago. Mike’s passion for leadership development grew from his experience as the director of an assessment center. More than 3,000 participants were helped at the center.
